Robert Wayne “Bob” Totten, Sr., 66, a twelve-year resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Brewster, NY, died on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mr. Totten was the head mechanic at Byram Hills Central School District in Armonk, NY for 33 years retiring in 2002.

Born on March 9, 1947 in Golden’s Bridge, NY, he was the son of the late Theodore and Irene (Broadhurst) Totten. On June 28, 1966 in Croton Falls, NY he married Renee Booth who survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Wayne Totten, Jr. and his partner, Steve Giese, of Carmel, NY; a daughter, Tina Spock of Dover Plains, NY; a brother, George Weibrecht and his wife, Diana, of Poughkeepsie, NY and three grandchildren, Jay Spock, Jr. and his wife, Desirae, Wayne Spock and Krystal Spock and her partner, Wyman Maxwell. His is also survived by a great-grandson, Jay Spock III.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral Services will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Dover Plains, NY.
