Irene Faix, 90, a lifelong resident of Wingdale, NY, died on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at New Milford Hospital in New Milford, CT. Ms. Faix worked at Winchester Electronics, Inc. in New Milford, CT for over 30 years.

Born on November 23, 1923 in Wingdale, NY she was the daughter of the late Louis H. and Ella (Yeno) Faix. She is survived by her nephews, James Riley of Ashville, NC and Michael Hunter of Miami, FL and two great nieces, Julia Elledge of Spring Hill, FL and Eva Hunter of Miami, FL, a great great nephew and a great great niece. She is also survived by many dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Faix was predeceased by her longtime friend, Anthony V. Hapanowich, five sisters, Lillian Bottesch, Julia Miller, Anna Kammer, Ether Hunter, and Rose Clifford and two brothers, Edward and Joseph Faix.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Pawling, NY.
