Jody Lee Spencer, 50, of Utica formerly of Dover Plains, NY died on Friday, January 23, 2015. Jody was a self-employed handyman.

Born on July 31, 1964 in Saranac Lake, NY he was the son of Marie Brooks Spencer of Dover Plains, NY and the late Loren Spencer.

In addition to his mother, Jody is survived by a son, Zachary Spencer of Wassaic, NY; a daughter, Briana Spencer of Kingston, NY; a brother, Dale Spencer of Dover Plains, NY and two sisters, Lisa McGhee of Pawling and Lynnae Spencer Webster of Wingdale, NY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jody was an avid fisherman and sports fan.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon James Lawlor officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association of the Southern Tier, P.O.
