Kathryn Mae  Finkle
Kathryn Mae Finkle, 73, a lifelong resident of Amenia, NY died on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. Mrs. Finkle owned and operated the Lantern Inn in Wassaic, NY for 31 years where she made many friends.

Born on May 13, 1941 in Sharon, CT she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Mackay) Stanton. Mrs. Finkle graduated from Housatonic Regional High School in Falls Village, CT class of 1959. Mrs. Finkle enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a former member of the Wassaic Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary

She is survived by her longtime companion, Arthur Nadeau of Amenia, NY; two sons, George Finkle of Millerton, NY and Perry Finkle and his wife, LeeAnn of Lawrenceburg, IN; three daughters, Katrina Brazee and her husband, Robert of Millerton, NY, Jennifer McRoberts and her husband, Richard of Millerton, NY and Suzanne Louey and her husband, Samuel of Amenia, NY; two brothers, Patrick and Jamas Stanton both of Lakeville, CT and a sister Janet Wightwood of Harwinton, CT. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Joshua and Jered McRoberts, Jessica and Erika Finkle, Ariel and Corinne Brazee and Kyle and Kate Louey and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Madison McRoberts. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Finkle was predeceased by two sisters, Virginia “Ginnie” Hickey and Georgia Duntz and her step-father, Harry Stanton.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 4 Lavelle Rd., Amenia, NY with Rev. Kent Wilson officiating.
