Obituary for Pearl L. Woodin

Pearl L. Woodin, 87, recently of Poughkeepsie, NY, formerly a longtime resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Born August 16, 1930 in Churubusco, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Viola (Spoor) Derosia. Mrs. Woodin graduated Ellensburg Central Schools. On October 5, 1947 she married Donald Doria who predeceased her on February 23, 1984. On July 1, 1987 in Wingdale, NY she married John Woodin who predeceased her October 6, 2011

Mrs. Woodin is survived by four daughters, Rebecca Hastings of Poughkeepsie, NY, Deborah Oldenburg of Southport, NC, Nora Walters of Tennessee and Janet Speed of Cairo, NY and two sons, Garry Doria of Pawling, NY and Burton Doria of Chateaugay, NY. She is also survived by her step children, Jill Way, Joy Wood and Jay and Jeff Woodin; two sisters, Beatrice Charland of Malone, NY and Jeanie Zemko of South Carolina; seventeen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Besides her parents and late husband, Mrs. Woodin is predeceased by six sisters, Marie Derosia, Margaret Gregory, Violet Perrault, Gilda Streeter, Almeda Fuller and Yvonne Harrington.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
