Mary K. Roberts, 92, a life-long resident of Wingdale, NY died July 16, 2013 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mrs. Roberts was a Head Dining Attendant at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY for twenty six years, retiring in 1966.

Born May 29, 1921 in Wingdale, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas Watt and Ann Smith Forrester. Mrs. Roberts was a graduate of Dover High School.

In August of 1966 in Juarez, Mexico she married Dr. Lawrence P. Roberts. Dr. Roberts died June 1, 1975.

Mrs. Roberts was a former member of the Shakespeare Club of Pawling, the Pawling Bridge Club, and the Harlem Valley Golf Club in Wingdale, NY.

She is survived by three children, Robert Yanus of Ottowa, Canada, Beverly Mayette and her husband Douglas of Wingdale, NY and Patrick Roberts and his wife Dara of Rhinebeck, NY; three grandchildren, Krista Mayette, Melissa Mayette and Lisa Mayette, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Anthony Yanus, who died in 1963, three brothers, Thomas, Hugh and William Watt and three sisters, Agnus Kaminski, Henrietta Cooper and Christina Callahan.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY 12522. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Fritz officiating. Burial will take place at Valley View Cemetery, Nellie Hill Rd., Dover Plains, NY.
