I've always loved being part of a large "clan". You share the joys, you cut through the griefs & you are abundantly clear that much of what you become is a direct result of who loved you, so relentlessly. And now, here I am, saying goodbye to one of those profound loves, my cousin Judy. She taught me to cook, to sing harmony, to throw a spiral better than "the boys". She was the top of the email chain when I had a new song idea as she was a ruthless editor. She made me cry when I was happy and dried my tears when I was sad. I won't know what to do without her voice on the other end of an email, but I do know that she will always be there for me. It seems that heaven has a need for some strong, funny, loving women. I won't question the reasons, but my prayers are streaming to wish sweet Judith God's speed.
